Professional counseling for couples and individuals, & clinical supervision for therapists.

How I work with couples

I help couples make sense of how they are getting stuck in conversations that lead to conflict and emotional disconnection. I work with partners to slow down, organize their experience, and clarify the good emotional reasons for why they are disconnected. We work together to identify any unmet relationship needs and longings that might be driving conflict and disconnection. Together we develop new patterns of interaction characterized by understanding and responsiveness, that promote closeness and trust. From there, partners are better able to find strategies and solutions to life’s challenges, heal from relationship wounds, and experience love again.

I have experience helping couples heal from infidelity/betrayal, trauma, sex addiction, emotional and sexual disconnection.

How I work with individuals

When counseling individual clients, I work from a trauma-informed lens, with deep respect for the pain that clients might be carrying, and how that might be stored in their nervous system. I enjoy helping individual clients clarify their growth-oriented goals, organize their emotional experiences, and learn from the valuable data that emotion provides. I enjoy helping them get still with their emotional experiences in order to learn about what they need to heal, grow, and flourish in life.

Clinical Supervision

I provide clinical supervision in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) to therapists who are learning and using EFCT. I support clinicians who are interested in learning the model, sharpening their skills, and/or pursuing certification in EFCT.
